Living Local: Grand Central Brewhouse in St. Petersburg FL
Part taproom and brewery, part beer garden and event venue, Grand Central Brewhouse in St Petersburg is a fun place to spend an afternoon or an evening. Grand Central is one of a select number of locally owned, independent breweries found in St Pete’s Grand Central District.
Just west of Downtown St Pete, the district is full of bars, restaurants, art galleries and more. Open every day of the week, Grand Central Brewhouse offers a range of lagers, pale ales, darker ales, IPAs, and sours. The brewhouse provides some indoor and outdoor space, plus it commonly hosts several community-friendly events.
You’ll find live music on certain days and evenings at Grand Central Brewhouse, plus events like Monday Night Cornhole. On the third Saturday of the month, local artists display their work in the beer garden and throughout the taproom.
In addition, the venue hosts some movie nights in its beer garden. To help further connect with the local community, Grand Central partners with some non-profits too, and donates some of its sales each month to local charities.
Owned by a former insurance specialist and craft brew enthusiast, Grand Central Brewhouse is at home on Central Avenue in St Pete. The owner purchased the property in late 2019, then remade the site into a brewery.
It officially opened in 2020. The site contains a brewery and restaurant, connected by an open-air beer garden that can host hundreds of guests.
Grand Central Brewhouse in St Pete is open from noon to midnight. After 9pm it transitions to a 21 and over crowd.
